{Magic}
In April, all signs began to point towards finalization for our family of 3. In fact, we left one of our court sessions so full of anticipation and so sure of God's plan that we moved forward with our plans to celebrate. We drove straight to our travel agent and began planning our trip to Disney World. We didn't have an exact adoption date and we knew we didn't want to go on our Gotcha vacation until all was official. So, we took a leap of faith and picked November. We began reading guide books, blogs, and gathering tips from anyone who would share. We dreamed of our perfect vacation...to the point where we began to worry about the possible disappointment. How could The Magic Kingdom really be that magical? Would these lists and plans come to fruition in the ways we imagined?
We were incredibly blessed to find that our adoption process, while emotionally draining, did not draw itself out. We celebrated Gotcha Day on September 12th and finalized Disney plans soon after!
Then we waited. And Waited. And Waited. We counted down and planned. We waited some more.
I'm here to tell you, Disney World was just as magical as we had imagined. Everything about Disney World is so intentional and special. It was an incredible week. We were able to relax and enjoy each other. Numerous times I was able to look at Ty and Ryan and realize how blessed I am to have them in my life.
Now, here is the 10 of the best moments from Disney:
10. We waited in line to meet Pocahontas. We reached the front of the line. Ryan had this reaction:
9. Ryan's absolute favorite movie is Peter Pan. He can watch it over and over and over. When we made it to the front of this line- there was no mistaking who was waiting for him- Peter himself. The interaction between the two of them was priceless.
8. Ryan rode EVERYTHING and he loved it! We were so impressed to see him be so brave and excited- even on Tower or Terror :)

He is in awe. She is so beautiful, right? Well....moments after this reaction he walked up to the Disney Staff Member (patrolling the line) and asked for her autograph. Turns out he's never seen the movie. The Staff Member was flattered, she had never been mistaken for a Disney Princess. He managed to smooth things over with Pocahontas using his charming smile.
9. Ryan's absolute favorite movie is Peter Pan. He can watch it over and over and over. When we made it to the front of this line- there was no mistaking who was waiting for him- Peter himself. The interaction between the two of them was priceless.

7. One of our favorite meals was breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Ryan was so excited to get to eat and see Mickey and the gang (2 of his favorite things!).
6. Our hotel was AWESOME! We didn't spend a whole lot of time there, but when we did Ryan was in awe of all of the giant sports gear. The arcade and dining made our one rainy day just a bit easier!
5. We visited Downtown Disney on one of last nights in town. We highly recommend Goofy's Candy Shop!
4. Stitched Micky ears....duh!
3. One of our day's at Hollywood Studios, we happened upon a Dancing in the Streets party. There was a parade, characters, and music! We had an absolute blast dancing and singing!
2. Because we were at Disney over Thanksgiving, Christmas decorations were beginning to go up. This was Main Street in Hollywood Studios- BEAUTIFUL!
1. Seeing this face at the end of the night....exhausted, but so happy and excited to talk about plans for the next day! Each night, we laid in bed and used our Disney maps to cross out rides and attractions we already completed and circled things we still wanted to do. Leave it to the teacher-parents to keep everything organized and moving efficiently.
We have been bouncing around options for heading back to Disney. It was such a great way to celebrate our family and we can't wait to go back!
