{Whole30 Compliant/Britt Approved}

Warning:  This post is purely free advertising for a few of our favorite Whole30 products.  Beware that these are solely our opinions and based on our own Whole30 experience. There have been several products we have tried and not loved, but I would rather answer questions about those one on one. feel free to message me if there is something you are going to order or try that's not on this list and want to know if we've used it.

1.  Tessemae's Buffalo Sauce = thebomb.com
Honestly, this has been a lifesaver when it comes to a dipping sauce for grilled chicken, wings, etc.  It is dairy free, sugar free, vegan, gluten free, kosher, and Whole30 compliant.  Plus, look at the ingredients.  There isn't anything in it that I can't pronounce or had to look up- Sunflower Seed Oil, Olive Oil, Aged Red Peppers, Distilled Vinegar, Sea Salt, Lemon Juice, Spices, Garlic, Organic Mustard.
Just do yourself a favor and order a bottle---or 3.

2.  Nutpods
I am not a coffee drinker, but Ty is.  In fact, he's barely human before having a cup in the morning and ensures it is set to automatically brew before we go to bed each night.  He made it through his whole first round without any sort of creamer...just black coffee.  And like my dear friend (only in my head) says...

And honestly for the most part, it wasn't hard.  He mostly drank black coffee at home prior to Whole30, but as a treat for finishing his first round and knowing he was moving right into his second round- I bought a pack of Nutpods off Amazon.  Several of my Whole30 Instagram pals had been posting to their feed raving about the brand and how it revolutionized their coffee during Whole30, so I decided to see what it was all about...vicariously...through Tyler.  His first cup with Nutpods was not super successful- so don't judge it off your first try.  However, it grew on him and now he really enjoys this healthy mix in on occasion.

Nutpods does NOT contain any of the following: Soy, Carrageenan, Sodium caseinate (a milk protein), Mono and di-glycerides, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, Partially hydrogenated oils or corn syrup, or sweeteners, sugars or sugar alcohols.  They come in three flavors- original, Hazelnut, and French Vanilla.  Bonus- they are Amazon Prime eligible- nothing beats 2 day delivery!

3.  Tessemae's Dressing
Avocado Ranch, Creamy Caesar, Creamy Ranch- All Whole30 compliant and all delicious.  The only drawbacks I've found is locating them in local stores and that they are often out of stock online (because they are SO good).  Around us, I have only found them at Natural Grocers in Independence.  You can always order online.  Their website says Coming Soon to Target, which would be a dream come true!  These definitely up our salad game and make us feel a little less like Ron and a little more like Chris.

4.  Tessemae's Ketchup
Ok.  I admit it.  I am totally having a emotional affair with the Tessemae's brand.  The Heavens opened and angels sang when we found it at Natural Grocers.  We had taken a few stabs at making our own ketchup previously and while they were fine- they don't even compare to this little bottle of goodness.  We swiftly kicked our old ketchup (store bought, name brand, uncompliant) to the curb.  Did you know...a tablespoon-size serving of typical ketchup has four grams of sugar, which is more sugar than a typical chocolate chip cookie. Yikes.  And how many kids actually limit their serving size to one tablespoon? My kiddo manages to squeeze two or three tablespoons onto their plate before I even sit down, which means he is consuming up to 12 grams of sugar — an entire day’s worth for a child — through his sauce alone.
Tessemae's ketchup has half the sugar- but it is from natural ingredients.  There is no added sugar or sweeteners.

5.  Riced Cauliflower (Pre Made)
Both Trader Joes and Sprouts have frozen cauliflower rice and it makes life so, so easy.  We've made mexican rice, used it in burrito bowls, and in stuffed peppers.  It literally takes 3 minutes to go from freezer to plate!

6.  Primal Kitchen Ranch
Primal Kitchen brand seems way more available at our local grocers and it is delicious!

7.  Aidell's Chicken and Apple Sausage
This one makes me giggle because it reminds me of the first time I brought Tyler to my parents for dinner.  My mom, bless her heart, made apple curry chicken burgers.  They were horrific.  No one wanted to say anything...especially Tyler.  He just kept taking bites until my mom started laughing and was the first to admit that they were awful.  On the flip side, these sausages are perfect for a quick, compliant protein.

8.  SUGAR FREE BACON
I find Pederson's Natural Farms Sugar-Free Bacon at Sprout's stores.  I am sure there are other compliant brands- Just read your ingredients!

9.  Larabars
NOT all but the compliant ones are: Apple Pie, Banana Bread, Carrot Cake, Cashew Cookie, Cherry Pie, Chocolate Coconut Chew, Coconut Cream Pie, Key Lime Pie, Lemon Bar, Pecan Pie and Pumpkin Pie.  Reminder: you should not eat these as a treat or a dessert or to satisfy sugar cravings.  I do not pack one in my lunch or even eat one every day.  However I LOVE having them when I was on the go or in a pinch.

10. Almond Butter
Since peanuts are not compliant and I love peanut butter, switching to almond butter has been less than satisfying.  But Trader Joe's Almond Butter is the best I've had!

What are your favorite Whole30 products?!
